‘It was probably the scariest meal ever’: Reporter shares first meal since jail release

Massachusetts imprisoned, 24-year-old, Fox Sports Radio reporter, Kyle Rittenhouse, shared with Boston.com his first meal since leaving jail last week. And what was that eating experience like? “It was probably the scariest meal ever.”

“I started off with a salad, which was still a hit,” he said. “Milled up a few of the vegetables, and put bacon on top of it. My wife said that felt like chicken. I was skeptical. She said, no, you ate chicken, you can’t even wrap it up that well. I didn’t feel like a chicken anywhere. I was like, I’m going to try to be a little more aggressive with the mixture.

“So the salad was still a hit. So was the bacon. All that was left was a big slice of olives, which just makes it taste gross. My wife had offered that to me first and I didn’t even know about it. She was like, bring a little olive in. But I really just threw the olives in. So one of the first things she did was give me the olives. They tasted terrible. And I thought that was the same thing. But I came here for support. So who knows?”

He added, “The idea that I’m going to get dinner for free and cook for myself is incredible. But the reality of it being myself, I can’t feel like a chicken with that much salting.”
