Football player Ryan Rogers caught on YouTube following murder of ex-girlfriend

Ryan Rogers, 19, suspected of murdering ex-girlfriend Savannah Cannon earlier this week in Sparks, Nev., was tracked down in Iowa Friday after posting eerie, disturbing videos to his YouTube channel.

The former Oakland Raiders football player posted on May 22nd that he was molested as a child. “I lived in a basement for 9 years of my life,” he said in the 10-minute video. “I was a drug addict for the first 10 years of my life. I didn’t know what happiness was.”

“I used to be a master at depression,” he continued. “I was still able to smile. I loved to make people laugh. It was my way of expression, but there was a lot of really dark times. I used to get up and just want to drown myself in a lake or a river because I’d feel like I could never get any better. And that is why I’m living my life the way I’m living it right now, because I am actually trying.”

According to authorities, a judge ordered him to stay at least 250 feet away from 10 witnesses in the case, including his ex-girlfriend and his mother, Bobbiee Tipton, The Ledger-Enquirer reported. Rogers will face a murder charge that could bring him a life sentence.
