Marjoleine Kars at the University of Maryland receives the Fogg/McGill/MBA History Prize in recognition of her two major works: Hidden Opportunities: The Hidden African-American Presence at U.S. Military Cadet Jobs in the 19th Century and Drawing in America: The Beginning of Photography.

Carla Power discusses her latest book “The Death of the House of Saud: The Collapse of an Empire on the Edge of Destruction” that tells the story of the family that has ruled the Saudi kingdom for a lifetime.
